Alzheimer's Health Fair 2017

Bringing services together for those living with Alzheimer's. On October 19th, 2017, AMBER partnered with Harvest Fellowship Church in Meadowview, Virginia to showcase Alzheimer's / Dementia providers throughout Washington and Smyth County Virginia. We gathered to provide information and resources to caregivers. CVS Pharmacy provided free blood pressure screenings and was available to provide flu shots to those who qualified. The church provided free hot-dogs for attendees. Free gifts were provided by sponsors. Alzheimer's Mind Body Education & Resources would like to congratulate Pastor Charles DeBord who has completed the required course to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner, CDP and for becoming an advocate for those living with dementia. Other attending Health Care Providers included: Abingdon Health & Rehab Center, Intrepid Healthcare Services, CVS Pharmacy, Francis Marion Manor Health & Rehabilitation, The Clifton Companies, English Meadows, and Washing County Sheriff's Office was there to discuss services they provide for individuals who WANDER.
